Re: What's everybody reading?

Just finished Author Unknown: On the Trail of Anonymous by Don Foster last
night. Fascinating stuff. He's the English prof who analyses literary text
for attributional purposes and identified a lost elegy of Shakespeare's, Joe
Klein as the author of Primary Colors, and played a key role in the
Unabomber case.

My favorite section though, was his investigation of the theory that Thomas
Pynchon wrote under the name of a Fort Bragg bag lady in Northern California
in the '80s (while writing Vineland). Much fun. (Truth is truly stranger
than fiction...)

I'm also reading:
Nick Hornby's Songbook
Dave Eggers' You Shall Know Our Velocity
Italo Calvino's If On A Winter's Night a Traveler

Another vote for Harry! Loved it (of course). I even picked up Quidditch
Through the Ages (by Kennilworthy Whisp) and Fantastic Beasts and Where to
Find Them (by Newt Scamander). The latter belongs to Harry, and Ron and
Hermione scribbled a little argument on the title page... ;)

For light stuff, I recommend Jasper Fforde's The Eyre Affair and Lost in a
Good Book. He's hysterical. Take a peek: http://www.jasperfforde.com/

Ever,
Ana Maria
