I sort of take the stance that when I think a law is bad, but there is still a
chance that it could be changed through legal means, I obey the law, but work
to bring it down (legally). Of course, there could be laws that are bad
enough to simply outright disobey, but I don't think this is one of them.
(Not that I thought you were implying that, I'm just thinking out loud). The
only thing I meant by "natural law" was that digitized music is *inherently*
copyable, unlike, say, apples. You have to grow more apples to multiply them,
so putting a law in place that says it's illegal to steal apples from the
growers is not in conflict with natural law. However, putting a law like that
in place for digitized music, is.

Agreed. That's why I said I think we need a system that compensates the
artist. I wasn't arguing for further exploitation of artists because we can't
stop people from copying (nor should we; sharing art is a good thing blah
blah blah), rather less by cutting out the exploitative middle man while at
the same time allowing copying and ensuring compensation of the artist. Two
rights. :)
