agreed: definitely not. not watching tv has no
relationship with virtue per se. but being pretty
much completely tuned out of pop culture can be
exhilerating. the only shows i watched during the 90s
were the simpsons, northern exposure, and a season or
two of the x-files, and i don't feel like i missed out
on anything.
and look at me now - a baseball-watching, cnn-junkied,
nick-at-night-addicted (c'mon -- cheers... gotta have
my kirsty alley fix), vh1-flippin',
hell-i'll-even-watch-the-weather-channel lump of
vegatoid octopus.
i gotta stop one of these days.
