The only one of those I'm familiar with is Planet X, which is ex-Dream Theater 
keyboardist Derek Sherinian's post-DT project.  It's actually very guitar 
based, not a synthesized keyboard extraveganza like you might expect, but Derek 
gets his say as well.  Very heavy, intense instrumental rock, I highly 
reccomend any of their albums.
