Didn't see the latter, but the former was embarrassing, wasn't it? I saw it
mainly because Rod Steiger was in it. Nowadays, all I can remember was
laughing out loud at a shower scene. The camera was clearly fetishizing Stone
and Stallone's bodies, but they looked so ludicrous together like that, I had
to laugh. It was like some kind of natural selection run riot, where movie
stars are selected for characteristics that are consistent with some bizarre
standard of beauty, but with sexual diamorphism so extreme that the results
seem like putting a great dane next to a dachshund. I mean, they were clearly
*supposed* to look sexy and attractive, but they looked like freaks. Actually,
that's probably unfair to the freaks (cf. closing monologue to the Humbug
episode of the X-Files).

That's all I remember about the flick. Wouldn't mind getting those two hours
back, either. :-)

Good night, everybody,
