Victory Not Vengeance. VNV Nation is A. about as far away from OtR as you
can get and B. one of my favourite bands ever. Imagine "Headhunter"-era
Front 242 produced by Stock Aitken Waterman. Bruce Lachey will now
explain the joke.

Seriously, though, they do an offshoot of EBM (Electronic Body Music)
called "Futurepop." It's sort of industrial, sort of Gothy, sort of
elegiac-- all set to a driving, gotta-dance beat. If you're inclined to
go find some mp3s on LimeWire, I recommend "Saviour (Vox)," which is what
got me into them in the first place, "Genesis," "Standing," "Solitary,"
"Beloved," or "Holding On." Those last three are a little quieter, and
the last two are from the new album, "Fuutureperfect," which just came
out in the States March 5th. Honestly, if you're at all into electronic
music-- or even if you're not but are kinda adventurous-- I can't
recommend the band highly enough. They're an Irishman, Ronan Harris, and
an Englishman, Mark Jackson, who now reside in Germany, I believe.
They're on Dependent Records in Europe, and, of course, on Metropolis
here in the States.

If anyone does try them, let me know what you think.
