On Saturday night, I was my introverted self and
went to see OTR in Lancaster, Pa., by myself
(couldn't find a baby sitter, so my wife had to
stay home, and a friend bailed because he had to
work). Anyway, "Latter Days" was for me the
highlight of a wonderful show. It is such a
simple song, and there was nothing new about it
that night. The arrangement was the same as "Good
Dog Bad Dog," and Karin simply sang with passion
while Linford supplied the accompaniment. Yes,
other tunes included Jack's setting the mood with
his guitars, and Linford strapped on the
accordian for "Jesus in New Orleans" (an
excellent song in its own right) to give it a
deep South tone. But the night all boiled down to
the piano and voice in one song in "Latter Days"
-- it was moving and gorgeous.

By the way, Karin mentioned Saturday that they
are going into the studio in June and July to
record a new album. I don't recall anyone
mentioning this previously. Does this mean we'll
have a new disc by the fall?
