I think for many of us who grew up in the eighties, Labarynth is essential viewing. I didn't see it for years after my childhood, and then someone here at college rented it. It is of the same genre as Legend, but David Bowie's costume brings to mind the line, "he's got an armadillo down his trousers." Most people who didn't see it as children don't like it.
Requiem for a Dream is disturbing, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The soundtrack is priceless IMO.
Inventing the Abbots is interesting, with some good preformances, but an overall mediocre movie IMO.
Anyway, has anyone seen The Royal Tannenbaums? I watched it and was delighted. The Wilson brothers are so fantastic, and even Gwyneth Paltrow, who isn't a particular favorite of mine, is fantastic. Everything about the movie is hilariously quirky. I would like to hear what the list has to say.
