i didn't say that it was my criteria for good music
either.  but it just so happens that i dig the
album version of that song better than the live one.

i don't think that "Like Spinning Plates" album version
was done that way to "show off."  it was done that way
to see if it could be done and sound good.  they did it
for the art's sake of it.

if any of RH's albums are more guitary show offy, i'd
say it's the first three.

sure, that is an aspect.  music is so all encompassing.
