all of the girls you date want you to take them to a movie? how boring! how
about going ice skating or seeing a play or walking in a park or PLAYING in a
park or having a picnic?

i don't know who you're dating, but my ex was actually very much like
that...insisting that we always did stuff that cost money. money is nice,
and things that cost money are nice, but go to the free zoo down the road or
go and watch the fish in the river. that can be fun, too.

i'm just not that much of a movie girl, i guess. i have a "date" with my
friend tom every six months or so, and we always go to dinner and a movie.
and i think it's the most boring time ever.

so, no, you are not a cheapass bastard! you're creative, and that's
WONDERFUL!

*laughing* yeah, that is a good question. i think you're supposed to go to
the movie first so that you have something to spark conversation during
dinner. *shrug* the whole "dinner and a movie" thing probably came about
with the invention of movies way back when...it was probably a really big
deal back when the movie theatre was first created. it's really commonplace
now, and i think it's silly to stay in those traditions with such rigidity.

hey, since you're having girl problems, maybe you should meet bethany.
apparently she only falls for the wrong kind of guy, too. who knows...could
be a match made in heaven. *wink*

*hugz and kisses*
