that was what threw me off.  It was a bit anapest.

What confused me is that most of what you had written could be scanned
iambic, but only some pentameter.  I thought maybe you really ment iambic,
since many people I know confuse the two.

lol, no, but that's cool.  Some of my good friends are english teachers.  Not
that I'm a nerd or anything......
