Re: newbie...and then some

Welcome, Jeremiah!

I'm surprised no one has jumped in yet to tell you that you must seek out "eve" as soon as possible.

LOL, usually when I post it takes me 5 minutes to compose a sentence. Just a little scary.

>My ideas for openers: 1. Samples

Saw the Samples on my first date with my husband. And the opening band was...Dave Matthews Band, believe it or not. Second date was OtR opening for Squeeze, where we passed out flyers for Shelly.

>5. B. Dylan

You do know that OtR once opened for Bob Dylan...this is really funny. They were going through some food line, I believe at UW Madison, and Brian Kelley was behind Bob Dylan...and the checker said, "hey, aren't you the drummer from Over the Rhine?" Brian was quite tickled because they recognized him when he was standing next to Bob Dylan. Hee.

Other notes...

Gail, word. Well said.

I'm digging Peter Mulvey. Had never heard of him but the list has praised him consistently so I went to...um, where I go for MP3s now that Napster is gone...and listened and liked. There's Hank Dogs there, too, in case anyone is interested.

Peace,

Julie
