I work. I'm typing up four pages of notes today from a managers' meeting
we had. All the retailers and food vendors are hysterical-- business is
off drastically not only because people aren't flying (80% of flights are
going, but at 40 to 50% capacity), but because non-ticketed potential
consumers can no longer get into the terminal. Deliveries have to go
through extra security, the restaurants have taken all items requiring
knives off their menus, and any employee without a security badge can't
work until he gets one. The Godiva store's been closed since last
Wednesday.
Frighteningly enough, my Swiss Army knife came through security in my
purse with no problems. While this made opening boxes easer today, I'm
somehow quite discomfited.
