Excellent book. Very dry, though. McDonald's _Canon of the New Testement_
is also very good.
It's looks like it. I look forward to reading it. So far I've read one by
D.A. Carson, F. F. Bruce's book by the same name of McDonald's I believe,
and currently I'm in the middle of my second one by Comfort on the topic.
I'm finding the topic fascinating, although I don't know a lick of Greek so I
have to go on faith that they're steering me right! Thanks for the nod to
McDonald. I'll have to look for it.

Whoa. I haven't even *thought* of that book in *decades*. If I'm thinking
of
the right book, I used to love that book. Was that the one with the little
professor guy with the big bald head who turned out to be an alien after all?
There was a whole series, wasn't there?
You're thinking of the right book. The professor's name is Mr. Tyco M. Bass.
I just found out around a couple years ago that there was a whole series.
So far, not much luck in acquiring the others. They're all OOP and fetch a
pretty good price. Only found the second "Stowaway to the Mushroom Planet"
recently which is why I'm going back and reading the first again, so it's
fresh in my mind before I read the second. I have a soft spot for WFTTMP.
It's the first book I remember picking out to read myself way back when and
my first real adventure in the joy of reading. I picked it out from my
elementary school library because I loved the title. It kicked off a
lifelong love for fantastic lit.
I'm going to have to look up Charles de Lint. >>
Please do. As I said my favorite is Moonheart so that's the one I'd
recommend but since Trader has piqued your interest I'm sure that'd be a good
place to start to. Haven't read it yet so...
As for Tom Robbins, it looks like y'all like many of his so perhaps the first
title I find that strikes me will be first I read. Winning titles so far:
Skinny Legs and All and Half Alseep in Frog Pajama's.
