pigeons nesting on your saints

hello everyone,

what a place our list community is.
we are so proud, aren't we?  and dog gone-it,
we should be.  so committed, so witty.
and where else can i come and just spew
out random thoughts?  nowhere, that's where.

some things i've been thinking about as of
late...

the terms for various groups of christians.
evangelical, liberal, protestant.  personal
beliefs defining who i am in one word.  so
disturbing.  i tell you a private belief
and then you get to put me in a box.  limit
me and never look back.  i wonder why?  
i guess like all assumptions, it's just easier.
less brain time.

i've also been thinking about the unborn.
no, no...just one particular unborn.  ours.
did i tell this list that joshua and i are
expecting?  well, we are!  lots of dreams,
and it's always a boy in the dreams.  
however i'm not sure that's worth much.  
my dreams are a dime a dozen these days.

then there is this list.  and i've been
wondering if this list would put it's money
where it's mouth is.  figuratively and literally,
i guess.  let's see, if karin and liford had to cancel
lots and lots of shows, as well as their tour
with the cowboy junkies...that most likely
means less means.  if you know what i mean.
no moola from the shows and no merchandise
sold at each and every show, which seems to
me would be a quite a pretty penny.  and you've
seen k & l, very pretty indeed.  

so where does this leave us?  i guess i'm just
saying that if you knew you were headed to a show
that got yanked, and you also knew you were 
finally going to complete your otr collection...
maybe you should anyway.  this may be would
be the supreme time to introduce a couple of
friends to the music you know and love. (you were
going to do it anyway).  plus, i think you'd
look mighty fine in a new otr t-shirt :)  i have
two actually, old guy's face from 'patience' and
the school children one. (joshua looks very cute
in that one).  or pick up linford's new
solo album.  lots of people here seem to love it.
and then there's always posters!  very tasteful
posters, i may add.  how about it?  let's rally
the troops...or something like that.

anyway, i think it would be kind and generous and
profitable. and we'd all get something out of it, too.

how does it feel?  discuss amongst ourselves...
