I am rolling all over the floor in paroxysms of delight. I am, in other
words, dog-snortin' happy. Bless you, Megan-- you just rock.
Last time I saw him was in Delaware, and when I mentioned to him
afterwards that I wished he'd done "I Am Stretched On Your Grave," he
musingly said (or was it Goody?) "Gosh, we haven't done that one in a
while! Hmmm." All I could think to myself was, "G-d damn, if I'd KNOWN he
took requests...."
I've put off buying "The Trouble With Poets" cos I want to buy it
directly from him at a show, have the majority of the buckage go to him,
and have the thrill of buying a CD straight from the artist and having it
signed on the spot. The downside, of course, is that when he _does_ come
through here again (someday), I'm not going to be as familiar with his
new stuff. Though I suppose if he's doing a lot of covers, it doesn't
matter much, does it?
Have I mentioned how much I adore Peter Mulvey?
PS-- Anyone following the current November Project woes?
