for such a short story, it's a bizarely written thing. i think i like it,
i'm not sure. in a lot of ways it just seemed like another way of someone
from the 60-0's bemoaning the commercialisation of the world around. or
something. a search for higher meaning and how we don't do that any more.
(keep in mind i know nothing about the author really, just kind of
rambling)

i like the characters, though - they're so sadly flawed. sometimes things
are solved a little too easily,. but i kind of liked the parents in the
story - they were reptty realistic. jared was a jerk.

everyone falling asleep was, well, *creepy*.
