If we were going for Perfect Album Side I'd agree with you. There's just too
much discontinuity on "side 2" for me to think of this as a Perfect Album.
If nothing else, "Tears" just ruins it.
The only Rush album I'd submit as perfect is _Moving Pictures_.
_Hemispheres_ comes close, but "Circumstances" sits there in the middle and
just blows away the continuity of the rest of it. _Grace Under Pressure_ is
pretty close to perfect, too. The more I think about it, I think _Permanent
Waves_ is a Perfect Album -- all good all the way through with good
continuity. Granted, I wouldn't call it the *best* Rush album, but there's a
bit of a difference between a perfect album and a band's *best* album.
On that note, I'm (somewhat) surprised to see that some people included GDBD
as a PA. I realize that a lot of the listees were introduced to OTR by that
album and like it the best, but that album is *so* all over the place. Half
of the songs aren't even what I'd call "finished" (I know I'll get some crap
for that!).
