thanks for not thinking i'm a snot. :)

as for their new record, i will admit that it's a little too springsteen-VoL 
influenced for my tastes, even with the few shining "we love u2 and it 
shows" moments...although i've heard the songs in their various 
incarnations, so it's one of those more nostalgic type things. that, and 
they have always put on an amazing live show. their cover of "fake plastic 
trees" kicks.
