Please allow a clarification. Not SOLELY, but rather PRIMARILY. Also, I
have to believe some artists on Christian labels are faking it. Some of 'em
are there 'cause their demo didn't fly with the secular labels. So they
slapped a few Biblical references onto the existing melodies and POOF,
instant CCM. It is naive to believe that all the CCM artists have true to
their word. I tend to suspect the bands whose theology is shallow,
manifested in cliché ridded lyrics and cookie cutter pronouncements. (A
brush which tars EVERYONE on Forefront, I know.)

Anyway, wasn't somebody in a "mainstream" CCM band arrested recently? I
remember Poor Old Lu saying in an interview that some of their labelmates
were charlatans, though they refused to name 'em. That's all the proof I've
got, coupled with a lifetime of observing human nature. Oh, well. - Matt
