ahh, but what makes someone "canadian" or "american?" 
this is a big quandry within the hispanic populations
of the us.  some people (who are chicano, for example)
don't speak a work of spanish...not even of spanglish.
 some people, like moi, speak some funny combinations
of all sorts of stuff and culturally get around in
hispanicism...but am i hispanic at all???  white, very
white.
