Yes. Any musician who ever had anything to offer
did so at one time or another.

MMMM, sorry, you must have misunderstood. There's a big difference between
singing/playing other's music when one is able to do likewise and
singing/playing other's music because of lack of ability. And by all means,
l am not offended by the whole Duran Duran ridicule. . . not a fan.
