All the more reason to pay attention in the polling booth.

Everyone has the constitutional right to *speak* correctly in the first
place. If you speak falsely, don't complain when others hear what you
said and it doesn't match with what you think you *meant* to say.

It was fair if everybody had the opportunity to make the same mistake. By
that standard, the only "fairness" problem I see here is that different
counties apparently have different ballot designs. But *within* the
county in question, everybody had the exact same opportunity. The ballot
was pre-approved, everyone had a chance to study it, etc. If thousands
blew their chance, then so what -- they knew the risk going in.
