About that link....

Hello, friends.

Yesterday, I sent out a link to a lot of nice folks-- and one
not-so-nice, but we don't need to get into that-- concerning the death
last week of my vivacious, strong, and comparatively young neighbour,
Suzy Greenberg. The link was to Yahoo.health, wherein one could donate
$1.00 for breast cancer research to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

One enterprising soul pointed out that there was a cap on the donation
limits that was probably reached a while ago. However, since I don't
recall reading that someone's found a cure for breast cancer in the last
24 hours, I'll assume there's still some work to do.

Accordingly, I'm sending another link. Some of you are familiar with the
Hunger Site, "(www.thehungersite.com) (which) is the world's first
"click-to-donate" site where more than 88 million visitors have donated
more than 10,000 metric tons of free food to help feed the hungry. They
have done this by visiting The Hunger Site daily and simply clicking a
button. The donations of staple food, paid for by The Hunger Site's
sponsors, are distributed to the world's hunger hot-spots by the United
Nations World Food Programme." (From the site itself.)

Well, now those enterprising cyber-philanthropists have branched out
again.

Go take a look. Click on the donation button. Then tell everyone you know
about it. Forward this email all over the place if you like. This site
was just founded Monday, October 23rd, so you can tell everyone you know
you heard about it before they did and feel downright smug.

Thanks again, and I hope you all continue in, if you'll pardon the pun,
robustly good health.

Nikki
