...flicks, that is.
yeah, "Run Lola Run" was definitely fab. it's on my list to see again. i
need to see "Waiting for Guffman" on the strong recommendation from Melissa
and Bruce. i looked for it the last time i was at Hollywood Video, but it
was out of stock.
i just saw "Good Will Hunting" again a few weeks ago. good stuff.
"American History X," "Fargo," "Life is Beautiful," and "Fist of Legend"
were also some recent re-watches...
"American Beauty" was a good movie, good acting, but somewhat disturbing.
Bruce lives and dies by this movie, right? i thought it was good.
definitely an A+, but i don't know about best movie in 10 years, bro.
i recently saw "SLC Punk." it was a fun story, and i liked the narrative
way that it was directed. "High Fidelity" with John Cusack was really
good. i liked it immensely. i almost saw it *again* tonight, but my
friends and i opted for "Coyote Ugly."
Coyote Ugly...ack!! BAD CHOICE!! this movie sucked so bad. i was
laughing at some parts when it was not germaine to be laughing. it was so
unoriginal, trite, blah, silly, idiotic. i'm not mad for wasting $6. i'm
mad for wasting 2 hours. $6 can be earned again. i will never get that 2
hours back. ever. don't go see this movie. it's just a waste of film.
other recent movies that didn't suck: "Man on the Moon," "Snow Falling on
Cedars," "XMen," and "The Green Mile." nothing truly out-of-the-ordinary,
but they were entertaining and stuff.
on other thoughts...
- there needs to be a movie based on Orwell's "1984." or is there already?
- the movie on "Pearl Harbor" looks like it'll be good...
