As a recent listee noted, I also thought that Kyle's antagonist could easily be Kyle with a new address. Although Kyle seems more intelligent that Don, not having to totally regress to slurs and foulness to get his thoughts out. Actually some of his criticisms have elements to which I agree. But the attacks on Karin's hair (of course the waist length locks were my favorite) and Linford's 'good old boy' humor were unnecessary.
I must say that I have been a little disappointed at the country/western direction that OTR seems to have taken. I have been following the band for years and am far more inclined to TWHF and Patience. I prefer dark candle lit stages to slide guitar. I'm really hoping that the next release, which I had hoped to hear a cut or two from in Wheaton, doesn't have this bent.
I am looking forward to C-stone again this year. From the line-up it promises to be one of the best ever. Lots of stars from past years coming back...77's, Altar Boys, etc. Look to www.cornerstonefestival.com for all the bands. Sadly, I see that Adam Again and the Lost Dogs are billed as appearing. If you didn't know Gene Eugene passed away about two weeks ago. So I am unsure what will happen with those bands. Lost Dogs can make it w/o Gene but Adam Again was totally his thing.
It seems that several of you are into VOL. Sorry to say but after seeing them at C-stone two years ago and listening to Bill say things that I feel were not things to be said at a Christian fest, knocking things said by other bands, and generally making me question if he was even a Christian, I refuse to listen to or support VOL in any way.
I had made a request for any bootleg tapes or videos anyone would have to share to pass them onto me. I got like about almost no response, but am still interested if anyone wants to share.
