     Ofra Haza's death is described in today's (02/29/2000)
New York Times on page A6 on the bottom half of the page.
A small photograph of her is on page 2 news summary section
under the title "Death Prompts Privacy Debate."  The article
has the headline "A Pop Diva, a Case of AIDS and an Israeli
Storm."

     Ofra was a very private person and was successful in
keeping her secret.  The Israeli newspaper Haaretz
announced the cause in the 28 February issue.
