Phila, I like. It sounds "lovely".

I agree with this. Here are more of my thoughts on the Cinti thing,
especially since I seem to be in a thinking mode today:

* Arnold's I've heard nothing but good things as well about. That's why I'm
still convinced I'd been there at some time.

* Coney Island may be a bust. $4000+ is a ridiculous sum, and the 150 mark
seems unattainable. I've been to Over the Rhine shows with less than 25
people.

* My pal Kevin married in a park near 275 + Beechmont + the Ohio River. It
was outdoor-y and beautiful, with a house like thing that we the wedding
party wandered around in getting ready. It popped in my brain as a good
idea today. I'll enquire regarding that.

* My pal Carol had a graduation party in some park thing that held maybe 100
people and might be perfect for that too. It was on Cincinnati's East side
somewhere.

* I think you can rent out spaces in some loft-y downtown bars
(Westminsters, Jillians). The danger with a real bar is the alcohol thing
(slim chances of being able to bring liquor in).

* When we'd rent party halls for events at my old work, they'd be $300-$600
and the charge for food. The problem there is they're really sterile spaces
typically.

* I've rented nice hotel spaces (never in Cincinnati though) for parties in
the past for as little as $200 + food costs. Again, a cash bar.

To quote Max + Celine, "that's the way it is".
