I couldn't resist answering this one. I really really miss the old OtR
sound, but for a different reason. What I miss about the old configuration
was that it was four EQUALS, each contributing their vision to an amazing
overall sound. Now it's Linford, somewhat Karin, and their
configuration-of-the-moment band. Anyone who knows Linford well enough
knows that he is a person who likes to be in control, and Ric just wouldn't
conform to Linford's vision. (I'm frankly suprised Linford hasn't let go
of everyone else except Karin and just used studio musicians. He might as
well for as much as lets anyone else contribute). Other than the fact that
every song OtR now does is similar tempo, ambient stuff (I will never call
the Seahorse a rocking tune) I don't like GDBD because it represents the
vision of one person.
