All I know is that I was praying that Ric would leave the band for a 
while before he did, and now I have TWO great bands to listen to 
instead of one -- Over the Rhine has improved because of it (though 
I've not yet heard any new recordings, the live versions, when they 
are "on" are fabulous), and Ric is able to show-off his 
guitar-abilities without hinderance from linford and the folks...
I hope they never reunite, because I think it would stifle both 
bands...
just my opinion, obviously.
