Well, seeing as you did just mention Monk and True Tunes in the same
breath, I feel it's my duty to tell you that Ric has a track on the
second volume of the We The Living indie band comp series that I'm
putting together for True Tunes. The details go thusly:

The track is called St. Christopher, it's a pre-Quiver demo (AFAIK),
it'll prolly never appear anywhere else, and according to Ric it's a
good bit different from what he's doing as Monk. Though I can't
confirm that as I don't have a DAT deck handy and he didn't send me
any other format. grumble grumble grumble ...

The CD set is a benefit comp for Dave Bunker whom most of you don't
know, but has cancer and no insurance. 15-18 bands per disc, $10 a
pop. Also on the disc that Ric's on are The Original Harmony Ridge
Creek Dippers (aka Mark Olson ex of the Jayhawks, Victoria Williams
and Razz Russell), Jason Harrod, The Vigilantes of Love, John Austin
and a slew of other good people.

Did I mention it's cheap?

You can find more details on the True Tunes web site
(www.truetunes.com) ....

As far as Monk ... is John sending them out in the cool velvet bags
w/ extra little picture booklet? And if you must buy them seperately
(though for $20 I don't know why you would ...) I prefer Hush ...

Todd.
