GDBD debate
I have to add in my two cents on this one. I am partial to TWHF and
Patience myself, but I love GDBD. I bought TWHF pretty much when it was
first on the shelf and have been a fan ever since. It's fun to see where
OTR heads with each album.
The clincher with GDBD is that my wife likes it. I love off the beaten
track music, but my wife is likes very beaten path stuff, but she loves OTR.
Well she does ever since GDBD. Now she likes all OTR stuff. I am not
trying to imply that the album is more mainstream, my point is that there's
a pretty wide range over the years with OTR leaving a lot for everyone to
get into and a lot to get hooked on.
All I know is that I get to hear more OTR in my house and I couldn't be
happier. Now I just have to get her to appreciate Adrian Belew and Philip
Glass (something tells me not to push my luck).
