Sounds like Mulder.  But I don't know the episode.  I'm not obsessed with
the show; I only watch the reruns when they're particularly interesting
or I have nothing better to do, or both.  And I missed a whole season or
two.  But I have been watching the new episodes regularly this season.

This might actually support your theory-- I listen to OTR regularly, but
I'm not a listie fanatic.  So maybe the obsessions are in more or less
direct proportion.

I do particularly like the Lone Gunmen, though.
