i just got a thank-you note from the Kelly's  in today's mail.  the card
said that Nigel is recovering well, the vet said, but may have to go back in
surgery soon for a metal brace on it's elbow   (??? am i remembering this
correctly?  if not,  it's pretty close to accurate.)

so, hey,  we did a good thing!  yay, us!  :-)
