I don't know if it's "Bruce's song" per se, but KT wrote:

Since when did pop songs have to follow rules of grammar?  especially in 
foreign languages?!  Hell, Sting was an English teacher, and his first 
solo single was "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free".  That's not proper 
(singular somebody/plural them) but it didn't stop A&M from picking it 
up, releasing it and it becoming a hit...
