and Anger, the church rejects homosexuals and holds them at arm's length. I

mean, it is undeniable that a great number of people have lost their jobs

(in a secular setting), been denied health benefits, tax benefits and the

rights of marriage, all because they were gay. These things are wrong. They

are discrimination, regardless of the sexual orientation involved. And the

church should say so. But the church tacitly approves of these actions

because to do otherwise would be misconstrued as approving of homosexual

relations.>>

The church,at least mine does not reject homosexuals or hold them at arms
length. The approach is hate the sin and love the sinner. There is absolutely
no question to the intent of God or Christs words. It is written. The fact
that the church doesen't protest the states choices against same sex
marriages, insurance coverage, and tax benifits, doesent make them party to an
injustice. Give to God what is God's and to Caesar what is Caesers. It is
rediculous to hold them accountable for that. The Church is quiet in this
because to advocate it would be an abberation. A house divided simply can't
stand. When I make the choice to go down these roads it is my choice. I can't
point at the church for following their law. Neither can I fault the courts
for changing these things in favor of the sinner. They are two different
laws-two different rules.
So what it all boils down to is that we believe simply what we are
predisposed to believe, and the oppossing side of the argument will always be
one vote short.
So what do you say...can we aggree to disagree?
