Re: midtimers
Hey kids,
I first saw Over the Rhine at a little festival called "Edge Fest"
here in Atlanta during the summer of '97. No guitar player, but
they had a bass guitar player (Mike Georgin) that broke my brain
and two ladies (Karin and Terri) that sang like angels. Oh, those
were the days....
I never got to see the band with Ric. What makes me really mad
is that I went to a festival (Inner Seeds '93) with the Patience-era
Over the Rhine performing, but I had no interest in seeing them,
because I had to catch whatever flavor-of-the-week youth group band that
was performing. I will now go light myself on fire.
Hey, all you old-timers. If you've got some great memories about
old shows (like the Cornerstone '91) or really any shows, but
particularly shows with Ric Hordinski, feel free to e-mail them to
me. My history site has got lots of info and reviews about the
band from the last six or so years, but before '95, the content is
pretty lacking. C'mon, help a brother out. Throw me a bone here.
Later kids,
Jeff
