true.

it is a good ideal. however, i still hold to the
idea that what one person calls "garbage" doesn't
have to be "garbage" for all people.

you're speaking objectively on things that really
and truly are subjective. i agree with what you're
saying mostly, but i still think that things are
quite more subjective.

true. but listening to the album doesn't mean
that you *will*. your choice to call people
names is a separate choice from choosing to listen
to that album. sure, listening to that album puts
such words in your mind, but choosing to listen
isn't the same a choosing to say.

i'm quite pro-OtR and pro-MM as artists. while i
do not necessarily condone everything that Brian
Warner and Co does, i do find some joy in his art.
he pushes buttons, he speaks about many things that
i do not agree with, but i do find some joy in his
music. his _Antichrist Superstar_ is a superb album,
and one that on a surface level draws a lot of flack.
i'll still hold it up as one of the best metal
concept albums of its day. it's a great album. he's
awfully derivative of Bowie and NIN in spots, but
that's beside the point.
i'd wager to say that OtR might be able to find
something in Marilyn Manson's catalog that they
would find agreeable to their worldview.
