Good point. I wasn't really thinking of it in terms of "last word". Actually,
I think calling it a "debate" gives it far too much credit at this point. Steve
made some sweeping, controversial claims without backing them up, so I just made
the sweeping, opposing claims. That's not a debate, that's just contradiction
(cue Monty Python: "yes it is." "No, it isn't!"). So I was just thinking of
balance at the time, but you're right, the temporal requirement of conversation
does imply I get the last word. Hmmm.... well, if someone else wants to get in
the last word, I can try to grit my teeth and shut up. :-)
