One of my all-time favorite albums in Christian music. I think they were
on the verge of something big, but then less than a year later, they
broke up.

There other albums are pretty awful. I remember reading a secular
review of the album that said something like: "When did Hoi Polloi go
and become a rock band?", because it was such a revelation when compared
to their previous stuff.

I love Happy Ever After by Hoi Polloi.  Favorite song is "Pity Baby"
