i dig it. the opening track "you know that" is a
superb pop song. well crafted. maybe Bill's
most well-crafted pop song yet.

i'm not a _Live at the 40 Watt_ fan... i'm not much
into the baseball-themed tune (nor am i on the
recent _fetal position_). _to the roof of the sky_
was one of his/their weakest albums, IMO... it had
some gem tunes on it, but following _Slow Dark Train_
with _TtRotS_ was a bit of a from-great-to-mediocre
turn for me. luckily he puts out more than an album
a year, so it's never a big wait for some new great
material.
top 3 VoL/Bill (in no particular order, other than
reverse alphabetical, of course):
-Slow Dark Train
-Killing Floor
-Audible Sigh (gotta include "Solar System" no
matter how you slice it)
then maybe in the next 3 (in alphabetical order,
based on the last word in the album):
-Blister Soul
-Welcome to Struggleville
-Summershine

i always saw VoL as Bill and whoever he scrapes
together. it was only a matter of time.
