Did any of you VOL fans like Summershine?  I find myself more partial 
to
the _Live at the 40 Watt_ era, and Summershine just seemed like a
commercial release from it's packaging and sound all the way down to 
the
font used on the back insert.  It seemed very *un-VOL* to me--if that's
possible. 

Does anyone know why he dropped the VOL moniker?  I haven't been 
keeping
up with my "Bill" history, but I do remember a thread on the VOL list
where someone said (I'm paraphrasing) "I think VOL could be more 
popluar
if bill changed the name of the band..."

Just my thoughts, and you know I am the thread killer, so please, no 
one
feel free to respond (:  (this does not apply if you have responded to 
me
this year--you know who you are *wink*)
