I remember. Didn't we discuss this together on "onfilm"? I remember agreeing
with you about the "pleasantness" of the ending, and I think I was the one who
pointed out the film lacked any kind of resolution with or redemption of the
J.T. Walsh character, which felt like a cheat to me since the first time I saw
it. I still liked it a little better than you did, but not much. A couple
interesting ideas (loved the way the guys all backed away from the basketball
that missed), but ultimately a horrible mess of an ending. And what was Don
Knotts's motivation, anyway???
