*grin* that's a fun question! i think stevieboo already knows this answer,
and so do some of the other people on the list, but i'll share anyway!
i was a senior in high school and i was dating jay moors, who was, without a
doubt, one of the most attractive guys i had ever dated. i took him to my
christmas dance and everything...boy was i happy. until i discovered that he
decided to drop me for my best friend.
since samantha and i had all of the same friends, i didn't have anyone in the
world to talk to, and so, when i checked my e-mail that monday and had e-mail
from this fun boy i had met online through a chat room, i just poured
everything out into this letter, telling him how hurt i was by my friends and
everything like that. i got a response almost immediately, telling me that
he would meet me online in a chat room later that night, and that we would
talk then.
his name was dj, daniel jacob, and we had a four hour conversation that
night. we spoke on the phone the next day. it was like something out of a
fairy tale...but it gets better.
he lived in california, and i hated pittsburgh, so i auditioned at a school
out in san bernadino county in california. i flew out with my mom, and spent
one night at the school, meeting people and observing some classes. that
second day, i was picked up by dj's friend michelle, and she drove me to the
beach. it was a surprise, but dj decided to meet me on the beach as the sun
hit the water...
we had a fabulous five days together, and the following month, he flew out to
pittsburgh to go to my prom. imagine the looks on the faces of my teachers
and classmates who never did believe that this mystery california boy
existed! ha!
*sigh* that was a wonderful year...thanks, steve, for making me think about
it. :)
*hugz and kisses*
