C-Stone Recordings

Someone asked earlier on this list whether a recording was made of either of
the C-Stone shows. The answer is yes. Matt Spransey, who ran sound for OTR's
Friday night Gallery show (and did a wonderful job), made a 16-track
recording of it. I think there were 5-6 mics on the drums alone! (Eric King,
you've gotta love that!) The tape, however, was only 90 minutes long whereas
the show lasted about 2 hours. Translation: some of the song seed fell by
the wayside and will never be heard again, but it's comforting to me that
sometimes music is still like life: you can't hit the rewind button. Take it
seriously but hold it lightly.
As for the acoustic set, a recording was also made of it, too, but it was
less elaborate.
Nevertheless, there should soon be some good MP3's in store for us all.
