my list includes:

senor p picasso - amazing, diverse.  seeing his giant piece guernica in 
person was one of the few times in my life that my breath was taken away 
literally.  and the museo de picasso in barcelona that shows his amazing 
early work forces one to realize what giant artistic leaps he made so early 
in life.

a few abstract expressionists; including marc rothko, robert motherwell, 
philip guston.  anything that doesn't spell out a conclusion for me and 
draws me in visually is appealing to me.  cincinnati art museum has rothko 
that i want to jump into.  thank god for security guards.

a few of the cobra folk: corneille guillaume, karel appel.  where it's 
bright and sometimes frenetic and cheery.

and david fincher and bruce weber.  madonna licking from a bowl of milk 
kinda sounds skanky on paper but david made it look amazing.  and the parade 
of beautiful 18 year olds outside bruce weber's studio would be able to 
start a small (albeit unclothed) army.
