Re: Another question.

ysoie asks...

> who's your favourite visual artist?

oh, this one is hard, because i have never been a fan of visual art. i'm not
one for stimulation of the eyes, being a musician by nature, and sometimes
even the visual aspect of music is lost to me.

however, as i visited the louvre in paris, i felt as if i had stepped into
another world, one filled with beautiful colors and sculptures and things of
that nature. and as i walked into the long hallway that, at the end, housed
the _mona lisa_, i saw before me one of the most beautiful pieces of artwork
i have ever seen. i don't recall the name, or the name of the artist...all i
know is that it had something to do with angels and mary, and it was
beautiful.

and, since i've seen it in person, i *must* mention how much i *love* michael
angelo's _david_. our tour guide spoke of many things as we made our way
into the hall of michael angelo's work, especially the spiritual connection
between all of the abandoned statues in front of us and the perfect creation
david. i could have stood there for hours, gazing into his eyes and
wondering what was going through his mind.

one of the questions posed to us before going up to the statue is whether we
thought he was preparing to kill the giant, or if he already had. it was fun
to guess, and see who was right!

*hugz and kisses*
