This probably won't encourage you at all, and granted, I've only heard that album once, but that was the song I probably enjoyed most. Not trying to make any general statement about them, but I'll make a comment on writing. Ya write whatcha got. Sometimes it's deep cause deep is what's handy. Sometimes all you have is dopey, so either you write the dopey or ya don't. Every once in a while the dopey seems to hit. I'm learning to write the dopey. :)
