Hey Tobi! I remember you. I was wondering whatever became of you recently.
Did you ever track down some of the discs I suggested? Remember that?
Just curious.
There are only strings/vioin on two tracks, but I feel obliged to suggest
the lovely and talented Norah Jones. I myself am coming real close to
introducing her to the stacks and stacks on CDs that seem to fill my living
space to the point of being downright intrusive.
Everybody, I can't get into Bill Malonee's "My Year In Review". It is the
closest thing to a rip-off he's released, and the number of "navel-gazing"
tracks collected together is staggering. If I didn't know Bill better, I'd
assume he's a narcissist, what with all the "I"s and "mine"s and "my"s and
"me"s in the lryics. It is definitely not essential. "Fetal Position"
sounds cool, but I haven't really been able to get into it yet.
I love the Innonence Mission track on the Pate sampler II, and am wondering
if the whole of "Small Planes" is as good.
Anyway, HTH,
Matt
