Ok maybe fantasized is a little extreme.

I know, but they do have a musical gifting.  Our P&W leaders would wholeheartedly agree that they are just human as well.  But as I said, if they were to "attend your church" that would make them part of your home community.

Maybe everyone is different.  My wife is a school teacher and she has been teaching Sunday School basically non-stop for over 20 years.  Never as a guilt or bondage issue because she IS a teacher, but because she loves kids!  She would much rather be teaching a group of children than doing anything else in the church.  My work doesn't really translate directly into ministry so I can't make any comparisons there.  So I usually teach with her.

I go to the service at church to be refreshed and renewed not to the children's' church.  I serve in the church because I want to share with the kids, I want to support the church with more than just my finances.  We usually work at the 9am service and then attend the 11am service.

It would be interesting to see how and where K&L would serve in a local body.  I know the schedule they keep would make it difficult to do anything on a heavily committed level.  I could really see Linford as a greeter, with that impish smile and warm handshake and "Hi folks, thanks for comin'"

And hey if Elvis can put out an album of hymns, why can't we have an OTR P&W album?
